Chairman and CEO. is the founder of Meltwater Ventures. Prior to Meltwater he successfully built internet strategy and development company Clarity with his partner James Tarin, and more recently education consultancy Place Group.

Alex Lankester
Managing Director. Prior to joining 2degrees, Alex built her career in medical and scientific publishing. Her last post was as Marketing Director for Wiley-Blackwell where she was involved in online, business-to-business community building and publishing.

Chief Technology Officer. James is a founding director at Meltwater Ventures and was Martin’s co-director at Clarity. He is an experienced internet and technology entrepreneur.

Kate McNicholl
Network Manager. Kate’s background is environmental engineering with experience in natural resource management in the Australian agricultural and energy industries. She joined 2degrees in December 2007 after working with our founding company, Meltwater Ventures. Kate’s role is to provide support to members and help create a valuable and sustainable place in which to 'do' green business.

Bronwyn Galletly
Marketing Executive. Bronwyn joined 2degrees in February 2008 as a marketing executive. Her background is in pollution ecology and evolutionary biology within invasive species in the marine environment.

Simon Barnard is an experienced sales and marketing executive with 15 years working within Financial Services and Events industry. Within Financial Services he has worked in technology consultancy for leading Investment Managers including Merrill Lynch, Schroders & Barclays and has created events for many leading companies at venues including the National History Museum, Brands Hatch and Tate Modern. His role at 2Degrees is to encourage membership of networks.
