Aviation Emissions working group
Dr Daniel Rutherford, Senior Researcher at the International Council on Clean Transportation and Hal Calamvokis, Strategic Planning Manager, at easyJet.
The aim of this webinar will be to examine the role a CO2 standard can play as part of a comprehensive climate strategy for the aviation sector. Dr Daniel Rutherford will describe the environmental need for, and value of, a CO2 standard for aircraft. He will also examine trends in new aircraft efficiency and explore ways to design a standard that provides real environmental benefits, minimizes regulatory complexity, reduces compliance costs, and minimizes potential impacts on industry competitiveness. Hal Calamvokis will examine the development of easyJet's environmental strategy with particular focus on aircraft development and emissions standards.
