Prompted by the challenges brought by black outs, the Czech Republic is looking at developing a smarter more robust grid through the National Security Research Program. In this webinar, Ivan Benes will set the context and discuss the Czech Three Pronged Approach to Security Research in the field of Critical Infrastructure which is to simultaneously design for profit, for Environment and for Survival. Dusan Princ will discuss the Cost Benefit Analysis of Power Islanding for the different functionalities and Jana Caletkova will then discuss how they plan on integrate this smart grid with other critical infrastructure such as water, gas and transport to make a Smarter and Resilient City (holistic approach to city infrastructure design).
