Low cost measures for improving sustainability
Up until March 2011, 50% of the waste at Grimsby based fresh fish processor, Seachill, went to landfill. However, following the introduction of a series of low cost measures over an 18 month period, it now diverts 95% of all its waste from landfill, while waste costs have dropped by 30%.
Join this webinar to find out:
- How it introduced waste segregation and turned recycling from being a cost to a revenue stream;
- Which materials lent themselves readily to recycling, which required greater thought and where the challenges still lie.
- How it is applying the same low cost approach to tackling energy consumption.
Michael Evans, Group H&S Executive, Seachill
