By Train/Bus

Train services to Oxford are frequent. Once you arrive at the station you can choose between buses which go along the Woodstock or Banbury Road (during off-peak hours, allow 20 minutes to get to Prama House).

From Oxford Railway Station:

• Walk to Oxford City Centre, Magdalen Street (stop C2)
• Take Bus Number 7b (Stagecoach), direction: Kidlington
• Get out at Summertown shops on Banbury Road

OR

• Railway Station bus stop R5
• Bus No S3 (Stagecoach), direction: Woodstock, Chipping Norton/Charlbury
• Get out at Woodstock Road, South Parade and walk through to Banbury Road.

By Bicycle

There is a great cycle route from the station to Prama House and plenty of cycle racks on the corner of South Parade.

• Leave the station and turn left at the first set of traffic lights, heading towards town.
• Follow the road as it swings left then right into Beaumont Street (the Ashmolean will be on your left) *At traffic lights turn left
• The road opens out into a wide avenue known as St. Giles.
• Take the fork to the right and continue up Banbury road to Summertown
• South Parade and the entrance to Prama House is on the left after Oddbins.

By Car

M40 from the North:

• Take junction 9 M40, A41/A34 exit to Oxford
• Take the 3rd exit onto A34 heading to Oxford/Newbury
• Take the exit toward Witney/Woodstock/Headington
• At Peartree Interchange, take the 2nd exit onto A44/Woodstock Rd
• Wolvercote Roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto N Way/A40
• At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A4165/Banbury Rd
• You'll find the entrance to Prama House on South Parade (opposite Oddbins)

M40 from the South:

• Leave M40 at junction 8
• Follow signs for A40 and A418 towards Oxford
• Pass Thornhill park and ride and at MacDonalds Roundabout go right onto ring road (following signs for Cheltenham and Town Centre)
• Continue to follow ring road
• At the Cuttleslowe Roundabout, take the 1st exit onto A4165/Banbury Rd (signs to Town centre and Summertown)
• You'll find the entrance to Prama House on South Parade (opposite Oddbins)

Alternatively you'll find free parking for 3 hours on parts of Lonsdale Road and Middle Way, and 2 hour parking at the top of Portland Road.
