I went to the launch of the NHS SDU's new Route Map for Sustainable Health yesterday.
Setting aside comments attached to the Guardian article (http://www.2degreesnetwork....ner-healthcare/news/103796/) about the NHS and GPs having better things to do, the general message seems to be a good one.
There did seem, however, to be number of questions and comments from those present about the lack of real data around benchmarks and 'what does good look like?' within the health sector.
I'd be interested to know if this is a common viewpoint out there - that, for example, you may have an idea of your carbon emissions or energy use, but you have no way of knowing if that is good, bad or inodfferent for your particular type of organisation, department or service, and no real way of comparing.
Is there any data that you can use for benchmarking or comparison purposes?
