Preview of Demolition Energy Analysis of Office Building Structural Systems

The life cycle energy of a building is comprised of the energy required to initially construct the building, the recurrring energy required for periodic refurbishment and maintenance, the energy required for operation during its life, and finall the energy required to demolish and dispose of the building at the end of its lifespan. This study examines the last of these life cycle phases, demolition, and reviews other activities which potentially impact demolition energy.
