Co-op Channel

Working together to reduce energy, water and waste. The Co-op Channel is a home to share ideas and actions to reduce environmental impacts.

Co-op Channel

As a responsible retailer, we want to work with you to reduce the environmental impact of Co-op products and also ensure the resilience of our supply base in a changing climate. In order to do this we need to not only baseline performance, but also provide useful support for you, our valued suppliers

Having listened to your thoughts in 2016, we know that that it is important to you to have the ability to share best practice, but also not to replicate reporting you are doing for others. Our offering in Manufacture 2030 is structured into three parts to help reduce environmental impacts:

Our priorities

A Co-op Channel to talk together about our priorities in environmental management, including sharing best practice and questions. We can link you up with experts within the Co-op and our broader supply chain through this channel on the issues that are most important to you.

Data collection

Straight-forward data collection on energy, water and waste – this is a collaborative project which is designed to make it as easy and pain-free for you as possible. We will be anonymising data through a third party (2degrees) to help protect your competitive edge.

Best practice

Sharing best practice across multiple supply bases – different organisations in retail, FMCG and other sectors will be linking their suppliers to this platform, so you can benefit from cross-industry conversations and best practice sharing.

Manufacture 2030

The Co-op Channel is part of Manufacture 2030, the sustainable manufacturing platform for supply chain owners who need their suppliers to go beyond compliance and become more sustainable – reducing cost, impact and risk. Find out more
